The Dixie Classic Chevy Club’s Annual Picnic was held on July 8, 2023.
From Bill Brown: We had a cool breeze for a while, and then it started getting hot a little after noon. Club members showed up in their Classic Chevys, and soon the picnic tables were full of food – fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, mac & cheese, potato salad, slaw, baked beans, cobbler, key lime pie, chocolate chip cookies, etc. Yum!
The cars looked great, too, as you can see in the pictures.
The folks who gathered for this annual event included Barry and Diana Hall, Sonny Mordt, Ed and Karen Todd, Jim Brown and Heidi, Bud and Kay Perry, Peggy Jones and her two granddaughters, Michael and Cindy Jenness and their two sons, Sam and Andrew, Dan Lelak, my wonderful wife (and the club’s First Lady), Becky, and me.
Thanks to each of you for coming and for bringing your Classic Chevys and the wonderful food. Everyone seemed to enjoy visiting, talking about cars and family and exchanging important information about important stuff. I think you’ll agree that a good time was had by all. A special thanks to Barry and Diana Hall for making the arrangements with their church to allow us to use the pavilion. Enjoy the pictures below.
