Michael Jenness: 1957 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop

Michael’s ’57 is a survivor. Used as a daily driver, this Bel Air has to be the coolest ride in the line at Michael’s children’s school!

This ’57 features the original 283, sporting an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holly 4B mated to a Muncie 4-speed on the floor (replacing the 2 speed Powerglide). Michael’s ride still has the original drum brakes, wheels, and hubcaps with classic white wall tires for now. Sporting a single master cylinder, no power steering, and slip covers over the red and black interior, she drive like it’s still 1957!

Refurbished in the late 1980s by the previous owner, Michael has since replaced the throw out bearing, clutch, and flywheel. He also rebuilt the original brake cylinders to get things stopping as evenly and smoothly as possible again.
